Lookafter File Documentation > Get Started > User Roles & Permission
In Lookafter File, there are 3 different user roles:
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Admin | This role has the access to user and file management. |
| User | A regular user that can access the system by logging in. Each user can be enabled with different permissions and home folder. |
| Guest | A predefined account for anonymous use (without logging in). |
There are 6 different user permissions that admin can assign to each user:
| Permission | Description |
|---|---|
| Read | Allows user to browse and list files and folders. |
| Write | Allows user to copy, move, rename, and delete files. |
| Upload | Allows user to upload files. |
| Download | Allows user to download files. |
| Batch Download | Allows user to download multiple files and folders at once. |
| Zip | Allows user to zip and unzip files. |
Note: Some permissions require others. E.g., Batch Download requires Read permissions (so that user can list files and select them) as well as basic Download permissions.
